I am sure you have heard before that you will be looking at your wedding photos for years to come so it is important to choose a style of makeup that will never date. Choosing a style can be hard if you aren’t used to wearing much makeup and haven’t tested out many looks before. I have put together my favourite classic wedding looks from my portfolio to help you decide on your own look. There is something here to suit everyone but of course you can mix and match aspects from each of them to create your unique wedding makeup.
Bronzed Eyes This look is great to enhance blue eyes, it is also a soft way of achieving a smokey look. The colour scheme suits most complexions and dresses and is perfect for a beach wedding. This is my most repined photo on pinterest so it has inspired lots of brides.
Red Lips It’s glamorous and has been in fashion for decades and always will be. This look definitely suits any dress but it particularly flatters vintage designs. I used a stain in the photo below so you don’t even have to worry about the lipstick coming off. This is my bride Gillian, she is an absolutely stunning lady. I promise you red lips suits everyone, we just have to pick the right tone.
Liquid Liner I also call this look the “fresh spring bride.” This has to be my personal favourite for brides and myself, I I wear this look most days. it defines the eyes perfectly without being too much, it is perfect for an outdoor wedding. You can personalise it by teaming it with your favourite lipstick, I recommend a bit of colour like a coral or rose, nothing too soft. This is a photo of my stunning bride Rebecca.
Soft Smokey Eyes This look is a favourite of many. It makes you feel sexy and glamorous and is perfect for an evening wedding. I recommend you don’t go too dark for your wedding day so your look classic and pretty. By going lighter on the eyelid rather than dark all over you will open up your eyes in photos. Yes thats me below, wearing a soft smokey look of pinks and mauves, a request from my husband who loves me in this look. Below the photo of me is another example of a smokey eye as there are so many different variations of this look depending on your taste.
A soft and pretty look Not too light, not too heavy. That is the only way I can describe this look! It is my most requested look to date, as soon as someone see’s this photo they ask for the same look. I did a very light smokey look using pinks and light browns to accentuate the eyes and teamed it with a rosy and uplifting cheek and lip colour.
The Classic Bridal Makeup Last but not least! Basically this look consists of all the traditional eye techniques a lighter shimmer on the eye lid, an enhanced socket and a dark lash line either with liquid or shadow teamed with a pretty pink lipstick. I promise if you choose this look all your best features will be highlighted and you will love what you see.
