A peek inside our Professional Makeup Kits

The questions I get asked the most has to be “what’s in your makeup kit” and “what are your favourite products?”

So here it is! Take a look at how I organise my kit and what products I use.

Our whole team have fully equipped kits filled with high-quality, luxurious products as our clients deserve only the best products!

Everything gets thoroughly reviewed and road tested by us before it goes into our kits.

We all use so many different brands in out kits but to name a few we use a range of Nars, Stila, Mac, Laura Mercier, Armani, Bobbi Brown, Benefit, Tom ford, Mac, Estee Lauder, Viseart, Inglot, By Terry, Makeup Forever and Chanel.

Being an animal lover I personally favour brands that do not test on animals such as Charlotte Tilbury, Hourglass, Stila, Urban Decay, Chantecaille, Tarte, Zoeva, Toofaced and Face Atelier.

Makeup Kit Condensing and organisation

I am a Mary Kondo devotee so you will notice that my whole kit has been decanted (repackaged). I do this to lighten the weight as 15 years of carrying my 20 kilo kit around (as well as carrying a makeup chair and light) means I have serious back pain. My highly organised kit also means it is now smaller in size, my kit used to be so big I couldn’t fit it on most people’s dining table so the hair stylist would hate working with me as I took up all the available table space! Not any more though, my kit is still jammed packed but it is condensed now. Makeup artists if you are reading this check out Muji for kit organisation tubs.

What make up do professional make up artists use

Gladis' kit

This is some of Gladis’ kit, she’s added it to it since this photo was taken. She favours designer brands such as Chanel, Lancome and Dior but she also uses a lot of Nars, Estee Lauder and Mac amongst other brands.

professional makeup brushes for mobile makeup artists

Brushes

I have hundreds of brushes so that I always have a clean one handy when I am making up large bridal groups or working on a busy Live TV show as it is imperative that brushes are always steralised and clean ready for every person.

Recently I have only been buying zoeva brushes as they are cruetly free but i do have so many makeup brushes mainly from Laura Mercier, Nars, Bobbi Brown, Stila and Mac.

Hygiene

As professional makeup artists, we take your hygiene seriously. We wash our hands before and after every client. We decant our products so we never double dip into liquids and creams to prevent cross contamination and our powders are sprayed with beauty so clean. Brushes are meticulously cared for, washed and sterilised so they are clean for every client and disposable mascara wands are always used. The safety and peace of mind of clients are our top concern.
