Wedding Hairstyles ideas for brides
Wedding hair inspiration for Brides
To wear your hair up or down, textured or sleek, that is the question!
There are so many different options that it can be hard to know where to start when looking for ideas so here we have put together our most requested looks to give you some ideas about what is trending.
All hairstyles featured are by Gemma Nichols Hair and Makeup team.
The high bun
a.k.a "The pammy"
Lift the bun from low to high and you have this years hottest trend, especially teamed with 90's bangs. The high bun is a feature itself and a great way to show off the back of a dress. There are so many variations depending on how sleek or textured you would like the look but this year it's all about texture just like our creations below.

the half up half down
The half up half down hairstyle is popular because it's best of both worlds and most people love their hair down but need the front secured to stay neat and more weather and dance resistant.
Last year was all about the textured, boho twists and this year we are getting more requests for 60's inspired styles with bends and volume and more polished, higher variations.
This years hottest accessory is the bow!

sleek bun
Tame those flyaways and grab the shine spray as sleek and polished is making a come back, especially when it comes to buns.

Waves
Soft and bouncy waves, volumous glam waves, sleek waves.
Waves are here to stay and there are so many variations of them so you can put your spin on them.
Recently we’ve seen more people opting for softer variations of waves and curls that mimic a blow-dry and have lots of movement but the classic glam waves are still our most requested hair down style.
Glam/Hollywood Waves normally need clip in extensions to create volume and hold for this style as you need enough hair for the hair to be moulded together so it doesn’t split but the good news is our brides get a discount with Zala.
Textured buns

There are so many different variations of buns but the one request that has remained constant over our 20 years in the industry is the request for buns with texture and movement.
So here are a handful of examples of our softer style buns.
Perfect for the romantic bride or a bride getting married outdoors.

The ponytail
When you have fabulous, long, thick hair and want an updo to keep you cool this is a great way to still show off all your hair.
If you don't have thick hair then clip in extensions are recommended for this style.

The knot bun
Yep you guessed it knots are hot this year!
This bun is so chic and straight out of Vogue, perfect for the stylish bride. You can make it your own by having it sleek, textured or adding some fresh flowers, the possibilities are endless.

Styling tip: add Flowers
Add flowers to your knot bun to create a pretty and relaxed detail perfect for a rustic outdoor ceremony.
